Goth Hair – How to Do Your Hair Goth Style

Original and exciting goth hair is a staple of the gothic subculture. There are many ways in which goth people wear their hair and just as many colors and combinations to choose from.
Typically the hair is dyed blue or black and is worn in a messy way to give it an unkempt appearance. While this is the case for some, it is not the only way in which gothic people wear their hair.
Hair dye is one essential hair product that many use. Popular hair dyes include semi-permanent dyes made by Manic Panic or Special Effects.
Some goths prefer exotic colors like hot pinks, bright greens, electric blues, neon oranges, and fierce reds. Colors can easily be mixed and matched to create the most fashionable look. Others tend to stick with more natural looking colors or opt for dark and morbid shades.
Goth hair has no limits and much like the clothing, it is used as an artful expression of the self. Hair can be worn in any style.
The mohawk was adapted from the punk rock scene. A mohawk is a hairstyle in which both sides of the head are shaved and a long strip is left in the middle.
Most often it is worn in spikes using gels or hair glues. Hair extensions and dread locks are often used to create unique and colorful hairstyles. Short hair cuts such as the bob are popular and whether the hair is short or long, straight bangs are in.
Another gothic style involves parting long bangs on an angle so that it covers most of one eye. The aim is to make the hair look as unusual as possible.
Hair accessories are widely used by gothic people. These range from veils, barrettes, bows, flowers, jewels, hair clips, chokers and ribbons. Goth hair does not have to be one set type of hair color or style. It is this freedom of being able to wear the hair in any fashion that makes it so appealing.
Very nice. It’s nice to see that at least someone knows what they are talking about when it comes to the subculture known as goth. Though, I don’t particulairly like using the word ‘goth’ because the gothics were a tribe hundreds of years ago. Look at me. I’m rambling now. Thank you for such a good article.
i love being goth but my perants wont let me be goth they think that is roing
